History

EWSH3 is a Hash House Harriers Kennel, Trails utilize any Train conveying members to & from any other Hash House Harriers Event, especially ‘Away weekends’, or for any other drinking purpose

The story begins way back in the late 1990's, when the Herts H3 Away team were travelling back from a Nash Hash, having to change Trains at Reading where Hyena was set a question by Junior on what letters of EWS meant on an engine across the tracks from the platform they were standing on.  (Mr X was not allowed by Junior to answer the afore mentioned question!)

Junior was stunned into silence (not for long enough) as Hyena said "English, Welsh & Scottish Railways!" to which Junior said he shouldn't know that!

Later on, when Junior was working & the others were travelling to an Away Weekend, the others sent him a text message of the EWS engine number & where it was spotted so he knew that they were on their way, drinking on a Train to a Hash Weekend.  Since then, the it has become a regular thing among a few Hashers to annoy the others who are not going to a Hash!

Eventually it had to come when those involved realized that they may as well make a Hash of their Journey to a Hash House Harriers weekend!
